What we collect

When you request a quote we collect the details you enter: your name, company, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, and the shipment details you provide (freight mode, direction, origin, destination, weight or volume, cargo-ready date and cargo description).

If you contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email, we receive the information you choose to share in that conversation.

Our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical data, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver the website and keep it secure.

How we use it

We use your details only to prepare and send your quotation, to answer your questions, to arrange and carry out the shipment you ask us to handle, and to meet our legal, customs and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across other websites.

Who we share it with

Quote requests are delivered to our team by email. Your data may be processed by the service providers that run our website hosting and email, and, when you book a shipment, shared with the carriers, customs authorities and partners needed to move your cargo.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UAE. Where that happens we rely on providers that apply appropriate security safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep quote enquiries for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and shipment records for as long as required by UAE commercial, customs and tax rules.

Your rights

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. Email info@lumosshipping.com and we will respond as soon as possible.

Security

This website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to enquiry data is limited to the Lumos team that needs it.
